BC Summer Games

Hello Kamloops Canoe & Kayak Families,

We are excited to share an incredible opportunity for our young paddlers!

BC Summer Games 2026 will be held in Kelowna from July 22–26, 2026, and this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for athletes born 2010–2013. Competing at the BC Summer Games is not only a major milestone in an athlete’s development, but also a memory they will carry with them for years to come.

As Kamloops Canoe & Kayak Club, we would like to personally invite athletes who have:

  • Paddled with us in previous seasons

  • Participated in our summer camps

  • Or are already in our contact list

to come out and show their skills this May.

Free Try-Out Session – Shumway Lake

All interested athletes are invited to a FREE trial session at our Shumway Lake facility in May.
This session is designed to:

  • Introduce the BC Summer Games pathway

  • Evaluate athlete potential

  • Prepare athletes for the official Time Trial at the end of May

Athletes who participate in the trial and time trial will have the chance to submit their names and compete for a spot representing Zone 2 – Okanagan Region at the BC Summer Games 2026.
